Riverview teacher honored with Educators Apple Award
Last week at a school assembly at Riverview Elementary, first-grade teacher Grace Rieke was awarded the January 2025 Apple Award, an honor recognizing exceptional teachers and staff members who inspire students every day. Rieke was celebrated for her profound impact on her students and their families.
Here are just a few remarks from the nominations that highlight her dedication:
- A parent shared, “I’ve noticed a spark in our son when it comes to school. When I pick him up, he always has a smile on his face.”
- Another parent described her as “an amazing person who loves the kids she teaches.”
- Yet another said, “She truly makes it known to her students how much she cares for each of them and pushes them to their greatest potential.”
As an Apple Award recipient, Rieke received a framed certificate, a gift card for a celebratory dinner at 1847 Bar & Grill, a $100 VISA gift card generously provided by Kirkpatrick Family Dentistry, and an engraved apple for her achievement.
